The IKAN team offers advice and support to Knowsley residents over the age of 55 aimed at helping them to keep safe and well, maintain fitness and prevent falls.
The team provides home-based assessments for residents with low level support needs, including people who may be at risk of falling.
Following an assessment, the team can arrange for simple aids and adaptations to be provided if needed. The team delivers chair-based exercise activities at community venues which can build strength, improve mobility, and help to prevent falls.
The service also arranges social activities to help prevent loneliness and social isolation, and can offer advice on financial matters, such as pensions and benefits.
